Looking for options for fishing while on a Walt Disney World vacation? You've come to the right place. Being Disney enthusiasts ourselves, we've spent countless hours in front of our computer screens compiling all kinds of info for Disney-goers - including the scoop on where to go to throw in a line.
You've got some options to weigh out if you want to get in some lake and fishing time at WDW. First, several Disney resorts offer guided fishing excursions onto Disney waters. Starting around $260.00 for up to five people for two hours on the water, these excursions supply the equipment you'll need and an experienced guide. The Contemporary, the BoardWalk Inn, and Downtown Disney are just a few of the varied launching points found throughout WDW. Two things to note for this option are 1) this is a catch-and-release excursion, and 2) you'll need to make reservations at least twenty-four hours in advance.
Kids' fishing excursions are also offered through Disney, primarily on the weekends, for those of you who have youth who are interested in trying their hand at catching a few.
For something a bit different, and a bit easier on the budget, consider trying your hand at cane pole fishing. Cane pole fishing is available during the day at both the Port Orleans Resort & the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
