No need to tell us; we know there's something about walking through the green of a course that epitomizes time away from a hectic life. Escaping the hustle and bustle of the parks for some down time on Disney courses can be the crown on a great vacation. Disney offers guests four 18-hole courses and one 9-hole course to choose from. Joe Lee, a renowned golf course architect, designed the Palm, Magnolia and Lake Buena Vista courses, while architect Tom Fazio brings something different to the golf scene with the Osprey course. Each fall sees a professional PGA event held at the Palm and Magnolia courses.
For those of you who have aspiring golfers, the 9-hole Oak Trail is a great way for a family to play a round together.
Equipment rentals are found at each course for those vacationers traveling light.
If you're staying at a Disney resort, you can book your tee time up to 90 days in advance and also can take advantage of free taxi service to and from the courses. Guests staying off Disney property can book up to 60 days in advance.
