Four Disney World Resort Hotels to Allow Dogs to Stay in Rooms

Four Walt Disney World Resort Hotels are part of a new pilot program that allows guests to bring their dogs to stay with them in the hotel rooms. This new program allows up to two dogs per room for an additional nightly fee. The hotels are: Yacht Club, Art of Animation, Port Orleans Riverside, and Fort Wilderness.

Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks Reopen After Hurricane Irma

The Walt Disney World Resort felt the force of Hurricane Irma Sunday night after the hurricane took a turn and headed north to Orlando. The theme parks were closed Sunday and Monday due to the storm, but the Resort hotels were full of guests riding out the wind and rain.

Most of the Disney Hotels have "Winding paths through serene wilderness and scenic trails alongside sprawling lakes and rivers," offer some of the most charming and tranquil views of the property. If you plan on using the resort's jogging trails during your stay, please ask for maps and information at the front desk of your resort hotel. 'Tis the season for Holiday Fun! We polled our Facebook Fans to Find out what they think are the best Disney Resorts to stay at during the Winter Holidays. Our run away winner was Disney's Wilderness Lodge! River Country Water Park (Looking Back)

We're talking about Disney World's forgotten water park. We all love Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, but did you know about Walt Disney World's first water park? River Country opened on June 20, 1976 and ceased operations on November 2, 2001.
