Disney has announced that the opening of Rivers of Light, the new nighttime experience at Disney's Animal Kingdom, has been delayed. The nightly show was supposed to start April 22.
Several other nighttime experiences including the night safari on Kilimanjaro Safaris, the Discovery Island Carnivale, and the Harambe Wildlife Parti are also reportedly delayed.
Disney gave no exact reason for the delay aside from stating that the team "needed more time" to bring the experiences to life.
No new opening date was announced. Disney says a new date and more information will be released in mid- to late-May.
What do you think about the delay at the Rivers of Light? Let us know in the comments.

All big construction projects face delays. All, that is, but Disney's. So it's a surprise, and I'm sure for those who scheduled precious time off especially to see this show it's a blow. It would be interesting to have a seat around the table at those construction meetings. But WDW history says it'll be worth the wait when it does finally happen.
