Disney’s Disability Access Service Card Goes Digital

Disney's Disability Access Service Card has gone digital. As of April 30 cast members will no longer be writing down return times for attractions but will now scan guests' tickets or MagicBands. This change has been instituted so that the disability accommodation can be integrated with My Disney Experience.

Lawsuit Filed Against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Regarding Disability Access Service

The families of 16 children and young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities have filed a lawsuit against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts alleging the Disability Access Service violates federal and state laws.

New Disability Access Service Card Program Launching at Disney Parks October 9th, 2013

Last year the Walt Disney World Guest Assistance Card (GAC) program came under fire when it was uncovered that some guests had discovered a way to game the system. An increase in the volume of requests, growing abuse, and some very bad press coverage meant that Disney was finally forced to make changes to the program that offers access to its attractions for guests with a wide range of disabilities both obvious and invisible.

A Walk Down Main Street USA

Main Street, U.S.A. is the first "themed land" inside the main entrance at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom and other Disney Parks around the world. As you walk beneath the train station overhead, you cross through a portal to another time. You notice that there's a Victorian theme throughout Main Street, yet the architectural styles represent several distinct areas of the country.
