Disney Magic Makes First Call in Miami as Ship Begins Sailings Port of Miami

The reimagined Disney Magic is making her home in the Port of Miami for the next few months and her first call to the port was cause for celebration.

Recently, Disney Cruise Line Captain Robert Olmer hosted local Port of Miami officials and community leaders aboard the Disney Magic for a plaque exchange ceremony. The ceremony is a maritime tradition that celebrates the relationship between a ship and the destination in honor of her first call.

Disney Cruise Line 2014 Itineraries Begin in Florida

Disney Cruise Line has announced it's sailing dates and itineraries for the 2014 season! The white sand beaches and beautiful blue waters of Castaway Cay will take center stage during the first half of the year as all four Disney ships sailing from Florida ports. The Disney Magic will return to Port Canaveral, Fla., joining the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, while the Disney Wonder makes it's home in Miami.

Disney Cruise Line: Do I Need A Passport For Travel To The Bahamas and Caribbean?

One of the most common questions I'm asked about traveling on the Disney Cruise Line (DCL) to the Bahamas and Caribbean is "Do I need a passport?" The most basic answer for most US Citizens is "No." However, traveling abroad without one is highly discouraged and thus, my answer is always a resounding "Yes."

Disney Cruise Line Sails to Jamaica for the First Time in 2013

Adding to it's fantastic array of itineraries, with two new ships the Disney Cruise Line is visiting more ports than ever. Last week it was announced that in late 2013, for the first time Jamaica will be an exciting Port of Call. Departing from Galveston, Texas this new seven-night Western Caribbean cruise will make port in Falmouth, Jamaica Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico.
