Epcot's Holidays Around the World

One of the most enchanting parts of the Holidays at Walt Disney World to me is the magical expression of Holidays Around the World at Epcot. Each and every World Showcase pavilion is painstakingly decorated in it's unique cultural style to celebrate the joys of season. While taking a stroll along the 1.2 mile promenade you can immerse yourself in each country's traditions surrounding the winter holidays and listen to the marvelous storytellers.

Holidays Around the World: The Storytellers Of Epcot's World Showcase

For all of the deserved hype that the Osborne Lights, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and Candlelight Processional get during the holidays, there is one neglected bit of yuletide delight hiding in Walt Disney World. The storytellers at Holidays Around the World in EPCOT are phenomenal! It can be difficult to catch every presentation and it is not possible to see the storytellers sequentially, but making the effort is worth it.

Disney Shorts: Mickey Mouse At The Dog Show

There are many different Thanksgiving Day traditions across America, and each one helps to make this one of the most popular holidays all year long. While football may be a tradition in some households, my family spends Thanksgiving watching the Macy's Parade and the National Dog Show. But did you know that it's not the only dog show in town today? That's because we're sharing two fantastic Disney shorts that honor this holiday tradition. Mickey Mouse is a huge fan of dog shows, and he's starred in two films to prove it.

The Beautiful Venetian Masks of Epcot's La Gemma Elegante

One of the most beautiful little shops located on the Piazza at Epcot's Italy has got to be the elegant little gem showcasing the art of the Venetian Mask. Brad's covered it here before in a stunning photo post. I wanted to take a closer look, and share some information about just what these exquisite pieces of functional artwork are.

Tradition of the Pickle Tree in Epcot's Germany Pavilion

One of my favorite Disney Christmas traditions can really be found all year long in the Germany Pavilion at Epcot. For may family, it began back in the 1980s when my Dad, who for some unknown reason, became a huge fan of The Pickle Tree.

Souvenirs from Walt Disney World Create Touchstones for Memories

The sale of souvenirs at Walt Disney World can be a touchy subject. Some believe that Disney simply wants to separate you from even more of what's in your wallet. Fans on message boards plan and strategize to spend as little as possible on merchandise, sometimes even pre-purchasing souvenir at home and carrying them along in their luggage. The science of marketing and impulse purchases is well in play at the Disney Parks, but bringing home souvenirs is a time honored tradition that reaches back much further back into history.

Favorite Activites for Your Arrival Night

We asked our Facebook Fans what their favorite arrival day activities were and the overwhelming response was that they head right to the parks! Starting off at the Magic Kingdom or grabbing at drink around Epcot's World Showcase seem to be the most popular ways to go. However, if you're flight is scheduled to get in later at night or you experience some travel delays there are still fantastic ways to kick off your magical journey.
