If you could add something to WDW outside of the Parks that was just for Grown Ups, what would it be? How would you theme it? Where would it go?

I would turn discovery island (the original one by Fort Wilderness) into a tropical island themed adult only area, complete with waterside dining, the adventurers club, beach cocktail bar, spa and luxury first class club lounge.

This sounds amazing! I would love an area like this: kind of like the adults-only area on a cruise ship, only on its own island.

LoL! Is it big enough to hold all of that? Oooo... it would be so cool to have a restaurant that you had to take a boat to get to just sitting out there on the island nest to the water. I kinda love that!

Miss Mikki, I was thinking along the same lines as you, but sort of a WDW Club 33, but for adults only. We could do without the overly expensive initiation fee and yearly dues though.

Whaaaaaaaat? The 25K+10K a year and a 14 year waiting list don't do it for you?

Love this idea! When are you going to become an Imagineer and make it happen?!

I would agree as well. I loved and miss Pleasure Island. Had such great times over there. I do like the old Discovery Island idea VERY much. Disney really has nothing as far as adult entertainment at night time outside of the parks anymore.
There are a few spots, but nothing like PI use to be. I do like Jelly Rolls on cast member night. Singing all the attraction/ride songs with the dueling pianos is a lot of fun. Had a great deal of fun in there with friends that work at Disney.
There use to be a night club in the Lake Buena Vista Palace as well some time back. The Laughing Kookabura, but everyone just called it the "Kook". It was ok, nothing special...But after PI shut down. A lot of folks would flock there "after hours".
And I believe Rix is still open at Coronado Springs, isn't it? We've been there a few times. It can be ok, nothing to go out of your way to do unless you are staying there to me though.

I would love some adult only areas but I don't think it will ever happen it doesn't fit within disney's ethos of 'family time' and everyone enjoying things together. It's a damn shame though as I'd love some quiet adults only restaurants and bars

Yes, Rix is still open. I haven't been there myself, but when I wrote about it back in fall of 2011 it had been voted one of Orlando's Best Bars by one of the local TV stations.
