We've been considering this one for a long time and I've never heard a bad review. I think if the idea appeals to you then you'll probably like it.

We've never been there, but my sister-in-law took my niece for a mother-daughter get-away and they loved it.

I went nearly 3 years ago. Absolutely loved it, a really relaxing day. I understand they are doing some redevelopment at the moment, but I would be very surprised if it effected the guest experience at all.

I've never been, but I've never heard a bad review! I know one of our members just did it in September and raved about it -- it's her favorite thing to do in Orlando!

Ooo ace, I probably will go! I also noticed that the ticket also includes admission to another park like Sea World and Busch Gardens. Having never been to Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove is sounding better and better!

Am I the only one who doesn't really know what this is?

It's an exclusive (read expensive) water park where you can swim with fish and dolphins.

oh cool, I think I'll go. I have always wanted to swim with dolphins! I'm presuming the included admission to another park thing doesn't have to be used on the same day as you go to Discovery Cove?? That would be a bit rubbish!

When I went it included 7 days for either Seaworld or Busch Gardens.

Hm, well I went to Sea World a few years ago so I reckon I'll pick Busch Gardens because I've never been there. Plus I'm a big rollercoaster fan, and it looks like Busch Gardens has lots awesome

I think Busch Gardens has more coasters than any other central Florida park, but they tend to be just coasters and don't have the level of theming that you'll find in Disney or Universal. Don't let that put you off if you like coaster though, they'll still be much better than most of what you will find in the UK.

Are any of them exciting? If I'm going to leave Disney world it's probably going to be for thrill rides.

oo yes, I would also like to know the answer to that!

Also, with discovery cove for the admission to busch gardens or wherever, do you have to go the next day or on the same day, or can you just use the pass to the other park at any time during your trip? I read somewhere that it should be consecutive days, and I'm hoping that's not right! Well, it's not that big a deal if it is right, but it would be nice to spread out the non-disney stuff!

I'm not certain about the timing of other park visits, but have a vague recollection that it's anytime within a week. I didn't get to ride all of the coaters at Busch, but the ones I did were pretty good.

If you were going to pick a Disney ride to compare them to in "thrilling-ness" how would they do? Are they more exciting than Expedition Everest? ToT? Goofy's Barnstormer?

(I have to interrogate Tony because he's our non-Disney park expert)

I've not ridden all of them (yet) but for the bigger coasters, think Rock N Roller, outside without the music or pre-show and theming, then wind up the speed and g-forces a bit. There are a few smaller kiddie coasters too.

Of the ones I have ridden, Gwazi, the wooden coaster is the only one I wouldn't look forward to riding again. It's so rough when it gets up to speed that I thought my fillings would fall out and had a headache for a few minutes after riding.

Tony, I don't know if I'm getting spoiled or getting old, but I can't handle older wooden coasters anymore. I rode a couple of my favorites from my youth not too long ago and they were AWFUL. I just wanted them to be over I got jostled around so much. I wonder if it's because I'm used to all the nice smooth steel ones now, or if I just don't like being bounced around anymore. I will so that El Toro at Great Adventure in New Jersey is one of my favorite coasters of all time and it's wooden. VERY smooth though.
