Disneydoc's First Thanksgiving at Kidani

Well, my standard view overlooks the parking reception area. No giraffes from the room, but I have had such bonus views before in a standard room at Jambo that I am ok with it. These rooms are indeed more roomy than others, especially the bathroom area.

There are so many places to go animal watch here and I plan to do that a lot. This trip feels slower paced - only one ADR at The Plaza tomorrow for lunch so far. I feel like wandering around and grazing this trip. My foot is giving me trouble so I cannot fly around at my usual crazy speed! That is probably a good thing - maybe i won't trip anymore.

It is overcast and rainy looking out there this AM. Kind of cosy. Might be a nice morning to hang out around here and at Jambo. I need to go see their lobby - it is my home kinda like Mr. Hub feels about the Poly. I have the culinary tour of Jiko and Boma on my list for 3:45 today! I have FPs this afternoon and evening.at MK but I will just move them a little.

I am so glad I pushed through and came down last night. The Atlanta traffic was a bear as usual, but our principal let us leave with the kids yesterday, putting me on the road a little after 2:30! Arrived about 10:45 and was able to grab some milk from The little store at Kidani just as they were closing. And use my AP discount too!

So I am going to make some oatmeal, grab a banana, and head over to Jambo....then who knows. Depends on the bus perhaps.

Oh yeah! Shopped this AM for some Capri active wear pants - the feel a lot better than those heavy jeans. On a bus to HS now to do whatever - coming back to Jambo later for Boma & Jiko tour. That will be dinner, then off to MK tonight.

So walked from HS across BW into Epcot because the rain stopped for a bit! Went into UK for a box of Twinings Christmas Tea, then into Sunshine Seasons for a kids size bite of salmon and green beans, and some grapes. Waiting for one of those elusive Kidani buses now to head back for the tour - already been here 20 minutes......might have to start driving this trip. That Kidani parking is so convenient it probably makes more sense that waiting a lot. But I do enjoy riding the buses!

Made it for the tour - pumpkin something soup (yummy), a zebra dome, and a little bread & dip stuff at Jiko. Very good but not enough for dinner this time. Got a good barbeque chicken salad at Contempo, then into MK for some night fun. More later!

Morning everybody - windy, rainy and 100 percent chance of rain today. Cozy again.

Although it was like that yesterday too it was not too bad - I had splurged on one of those nylon hooded wind breakers from Mouse Gears last year and it is awesome.

I ended up in MK last night just in time to see the Frozen gang light the castle. That never gets old! It totally makes sense for Elsa to do the icing.

I was able to FP Mermaid. Haunted Mansion, and laugh Floor. I squeezed in TTA and Small World on standby - the big Thanksgiving crowds usually get here Wednesday so I try to ride my favorites before then.

Today I have The Plaza at 1 PM and will Hit the MK this AM a little later. Then I will hop somewhere - feeling random this trip!

Had a good bus experience yesterday after I complained here - nice to hop. Bus and bypass TTC. But I did leave during ELP and before Wishes last night too. Will do that another day.

I love The World! I honestly think especially this time of year, but probably any other too, I could totally not go to a park and be so entertained at the DVC resorts, BW, and DTD.

On a food note, I have purposely cancelled all ADRs but The Plaza to explore. Trying some new places, like that incredibly fresh chicken salad at Contempo last night. It has real chicken, looked "pulled," pinto beans, corn, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and sauces you could add ( or it could come mixed). Really crunchy, unprocessed style, and only $8 plus. A great find and just steps from the MK.

For you flatbread folks they had some yummy looking ones there too.

Did a little browsing around stores last night too to see what looks good. I wanted a Christmas Donald but so far none - they had them last year. DBF loves Donald. Did see a shirt he will get.

Did you guys know. That if you buy something at Sunshine Seasons or many other. QS places that your receipt will have a coupon for 20 percent off in the main gift shops like Mouse Gears or World of Disney or emporium in MK if used before 1 PM? I got one at SBucks last night too. Saving
Them to buy what I am scouting.

Well, it only hurts when I stand still.

I am a bit stubborn in the limitations dept - will find a way. (Broken wrist, 2 park days anyway).

But yes, I am taking more breaks and planning resting rides and shows.

P.s. Sam & Ella are back at the Laugh Floor - were not there this summer on my trip!

I just had a chicken strawberry salad at The Plaza and wondered why a costumed lady dressed in period clothing was looking over at me and sent a CM to find out where I was from. Turns out I a the 100th visitor today and that qualifies me for a free dessert!

That scoop of vanilla ice cream hit the spot!
