Goodbye O'Malley :(

Goodbye O'Malley :(

O'Malley took a turn for the worst last night. He couldn't stand and would only sleep. He then fitted early this morning so we were there at the vets this morning when they opened and they gently put him to sleep. He wasn't really there by this point anyway, his eyes were flicking side to side Sad

We took him in last May when he was found and handed in to the vets. They couldn't find a home for him as he had many suspected problems but I knew we had to bring him home. As it happened a he only had a hyperactive thyroid, they thought he would also have liver, heart and kidney problems. He has had a very happy home with us for the last remaining months of his lifetime and he will be very much missed.

Thank you so much to everyone for your kind thoughts and love for us all here. It's been a sad week in the princess house and a very sad day today. It's raining outside, a reflection on our moods Sad

I am so, so sorry for your loss, Robyn. It is so evident how much you and Sy loved and cared for O'Malley and I'm sure you made his quality of life so much better for his last days. Hugs and prayers for both of you!

Thank you xxxxxx have buried him in the garden now, I think that was the hardest part. Going to buy some roses at the weekend to plant for him and also for Emily who we lost in September x

Robyn you can see the difference your love and caring made in his appearance. I'm sure his mental well-being was just as enhanced. I am so sorry for your loss. Our animals become a part of the family, and leave a hole when they are gone.

I know O'Malley had a wonderful home with you, I can tell by how much better he looks in the recent photos, even though he was sick. What a handsome boy he was. And he looks so content and at peace on your lap in the last photo, so I know he trusted and loved you very much.

I am so very sorry for your loss. O'Malley was a handsome fellow. (He does look like Thomas O'Malley, the alley cat). You are very special person, a kitty's guardian angel - I'm humbled by your true acts of kindness. I know O'Malley will always live in your heart. My thoughts are with you and your family during this very difficult time.

Oh, Robyn, so sorry. My Tiger is also a thyroid kitty. He is 13, and 3 years ago he went for iodine radiation. It saved his life, but he is starting to look a little rough around the edges again. You have my sympathies, and no matter how many kitties you have, each one is special. mickey

Robyn - I'm so sorry for the loss of O'Malley...he is in a good place now, and you helped him live out the rest of his life as a happy and loved kitty...send you lots of pixie dust...xx
