Hollywood Studios name change

Saw this over in the Orlando Sentinel today....

Disney's Hollywood Studios getting new name, CEO confirms

Maybe they haven't decided what to name it yet. We should help them. Robyn commented earlier on FB that she thought it would be Hollywood Adventure, which I like. I heard someone else say Disney's Florida Adventure (to mirror DCA) and another person lamented that it could be Disney's Frozen Studios.

What would you fine people like to call it?

This would happen just when I finally decide to call it Hollywood Studios instead of MGM.

I don't think they will make it the florida adventure as there have no 'florida' stuff in there. It's all hollywood theming. I get why they need to get rid of the studios aspect, there is no longer any form of studio there.

I'm guessing the name will more accurately reflect the new way they are taking the park. They probably haven't announced it yet since they've been trying to keep the new park aspects under wraps.

I hope they keep the name close to the theme. The park is about the glory days of hollywood, and movies. Hopefully its a name that keeps that theme going.

I cant imagine the amount of money it costs to re-brand everything! I wonder why they thought the change was needed.

I hope it has "Walt Disney" in the name. He made a few good movies in his day. wink

I do not care what they call it as long as they stay the same in regards to the theme. My husband is not a huge Disney fan, but grudgingly goes on these yearly excursions to make me happy. HS is the one thing he looks forward to as he is a huge 1950's fan and also loves the little touches with Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (His absolute favorite movie), so HS is his happy place.

Not sure how I'd feel if I saw my first name front and center at Disney World...

Joking aside, I can't really think of suitable names. Walt Disney Studios Park is the name used over in Paris but as pointed out, there's not a really a studio element in the park per say. Movie Adventure? Nah..Disney's Hollywoodland? (Paying homage to what the original Hollywood sign spelled out in California.) No...I'm stumped. confused I wouldn't be surprised if they reverted back to MGM Studios.....

I don't like Hollywood Adventure as the new name but I'll be fine with whatever they chose.

I have to agree DisneyDoc...I don't quite understand myself. After all Epcot isn't exactly isn't an "Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow".

Yes. I have heard the Hollywood Adventures as well. As long as the park is open and has Star Wars, everything else is gravy. Now, if they add Cars Land - I would be so excited

I worked there when it changed from Disney/MGM Studios to Disney Hollywood Studios. There were no productions still there at that time, either, so it's a shame they didn't decide to drop the "studios" in the name, which would have saved them the trouble only 7 years later. I like the idea of Disney's Hollywood Adventure. That way, as long as it came from Hollywood, it would fit. I do hope they keep the whole Art Deco feel to Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Ave and of course I hope now that they have finally removed the Sorcerer's Hat, that they will keep the lovely line of sight to the Chinese Theater open.

Hyperion Wharf, Pleasure Island, Disney Springs, The Landing, they've changed THAT name so many times I don't even know what it's called anymore. I do know one thing: it was awesome and now it sucks.
