Passed Over in the Magic Kingdom

What are your least favorite attractions in the Magic Kingdom? Is there anywhere that you never seem to go?

I am really dubious about the new Dumbo area in New Fantasyland - really really do not like clowns. Then again I've never seen it, so it might be OK, but it won't be the place we run to at rope drop!

Magic Kingdom: Never been to Tom Sawyer Island and don't plan to go from what I hear others say. Don't usually do the Astro-Orbiter, not that I don't like it but just takes to long to get up the elevator. I do like Swiss Family Treehouse but never seem to feel like climbing it.

Epcot: Not a big fan of Innoventions.

But by far the worst attraction at Disney World has to be "Stitch's Great Escape". Seems like they hired someone wacked out on something, gave them 25 cent budget and ask them redesign the show. If you couldn't do any better should have left it. Or just burn it down and let kids play in the rubble.

Stich has grown on me a little, but I usually still avoid it just to avoid the smell.

Yes! I was SO excited to be showing my fella the amazing Alien -themed ride at Disney, which I remember being very scary and awesome, plus he's a huge fan of Alien. Imagine my sadness to hear it's been replaced by Stitch Sad

I did not enjoy the Stitch ride when I went on it the first time and do not plan on trying it again! I also never go to any of the "Dumbo"-esque rides (and there are quite a few of them--Astro Orbiters, Magic Carpets of Aladdin, etc.), or spinny-rides in general: the only good thing for me about the teacups is they're a good shape to deposit my lunch after all the spinning! Sick

I've never done Winnie the Pooh. Only recently rode Peter Pan. I still don't understand the long wait for that ride.

My wife demands Dumbo, but I could go either way. Helps that they have Fast Pass for it now.

I'll be honest, for years when not with my kids I skipped Fantasyland entirely. It just wasn't something that I felt was enhancing my vacation. I also wasn't very excited about the whole circus themed area. I went in October, and LOVED it! Maybe it was because there weren't many people when I went, or because I went at night and the lights were twinkling, it seemed extra charming magical. I loved double Dumbo at night, even though I was NOT a fan of the original Dumbo.

I avoid Its a Small World like the plague. The ride creeps me out for some reason.

I'm with Allie about the Teacups and I also won't do the Flying Carpet either.

+1 for the Teacups. Just watching them makes me nauseous....

I've done the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House every trip and every trip I think I need to add this to the skip list for next year....

Anything that spins is pretty much out. I can handle Dumbo, but not much else.

Dumbo,Aladdin, Orbiter. All the same ride for me. We don't like any major drops either but enjoy watching our friends enjoy them. But the never again for us is stitch. It feels like something that really belongs at six flags or universal not Disney quality.

Like Taratu said, "anything that spins" and have to say I've rode Space Mountain for the last time.

Space Mountain is not one of my faves. I love all of the other mountains, but not that one. Not a huge fan of the spinning rides either. No tea cups for me! yuck

As none of you seem to like the teacups, I wonder why there is always such a big queue!?!

I have never ridden; the tea cups, dumbo, carousel, astro orbiter, flying carpets, tree house, Tom Sawyers island. I think I need to try some of these out, I feel bad! Not a very good disney expert Wink

Dumbo, Aladdin, and Astro Orbiter! They spin and seem pointless?

Agreed! (this sounds just like me...lol)...anything that spins is pretty much out for me. The Dumbo rides in New Fantasyland and the whole area is really cute though...DH and our son had a great time on it but only because we got the Fast Pass. And to this day I'm trying to figure out the whole Tom Sawyer Island deal...haven't been and it never makes its way onto my radar when we're at MK. Also did Stitch once with DH and never again...Alien was infinitely better (and that says a lot).

We don't do the tea cups, Astro Orbiter we did last trip, not again, but Dumbo and Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride are fun, not a problem at all. I would recommend those that say they don't like those but have never been on them to give them a try. Space Mt hurt my neck last time I rode that, so that's a no go anymore for me.

eek Robyn, you have to do Swiss Family Robinson Tree House at least once. I have always loved it , but don't do it every time. I have always loved that movie.

We never do hall of presidents, stitch, carousel of progress, Swiss family Robinson tree house, Tom Sawyer island, space mountain, tiki house, Peter Pan, and this trip was the first time we did country bear jamboree and astro orbiter

I think I will give space mountain a miss, it is just too painful a ride and I am always scared I am going to get stuck in it! Haven't done Dumbo or Magic Carpets and astro orbiter is soo tiny I need a can opener to get out! Love the Tiki rooms, carousel of progress and people mover

We usually skip Carousel of Progress, Tree House, Hall of Presidents. This trip, I want to try the Presidents, but I can't do CoP any more. (When I was a kid, growing up in Florida, and the rides worked on their letter tickets, CoP was one we always did, but nowadays it just hasn't aged well. Was it a C-ticket? I can't remember.)

I have never ever ridden Dumbo, but I'm moving it to the un-skip list for our next trip

The only thing I don't do simply because I don't like it is Pirates of the Caribbean. It's just a long boring ride for me. There are other things I don't do because of my knees such as Astro Orbitor & the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse & others, such as Tom Sawyer Island, simply because I'm not interested.

I used to LOVE Alien Encounter. It was so scary and fun! Not really for kids though, that's probably why they replaced that terrifying alien with Stitch. Stitch is cute though and because there is always a short queue and air conditioning I don't mind that one.

It's a Small World creeps me out too. My husband and I were talking about how horrible it would be if you got stuck somewhere inside that ride. I would lose my mind.

My husband scared me with Space Mountain saying how scary it is because you can't see anything and you don't know if you're going to smack your head on something!!! Meanie! Now every time I go on it my neck tenses up because i'm trying to duck!

I love all WDW rides though and there's not one I wouldn't go on!
