We are back guys!
Disney was, as always, wonderful. It was, at times, rough for Jan but being the trooper she is held out for 6 great days. We just got back this afternoon and I will fill you in later. Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers. They did a great job.
Joe

Hooray! What wonderful news, Joe. Here's hoping that week of healing did wonders for Jan. I feel like you're a part of my own family and love to celebrate with you even from far away.

Looking forward to the photos!

Great news Joe! Glad to hear my prayers added to the pile helped you both get some magical therapy.

In other news, I'll have you know you inspired me to (among other things) grow a nice full beard. I often sport a beard, but normally close cut. I currently have the fullest, most splendid, red beard I have ever had biggrin It is not yet the fantastic man-mane yours is, but I'm getting there.

Hope Jan's not too drained by the event. I'm glad you made it to get your magic infusion. clapping

Here we are at Hour Glass Lake at Pop Century. It was wonderful being there again. Tomorrow we start the Dr. thing once more to find out if Jan has cancer again. If she does (as they think) it will be her 5th time in 8 years.
I just don't know what to say. She is wearing out.

Joe, she looks fantastic right there! Definitely the Magic of Disney and her wonderful life with you. She looks like she's got a lot of years left, to me.

Keep us updated on the situation; we're always praying and looking forward to your next trip.

Sorry Guys. I have been reluctant to post because we weren't sure what was going to be the results of Jan's Pet-scan. After we got back from Disney she had to start seeing her Dr.s again. The 4 dealing with her cancer were worried that the cat-scan showed massive growth in her lung and in the neck. They were it was untreatable which meant the next step would be Hospice. We were in a state of acceptance and sorrow for the past 2 weeks. We have said goodby more times than I like to remember in the past 8 years. After a while you just get numb. However after seeing the Pet-scan her cancer Dr.s decided they could do something. No guarantees but hope. Today she will go to be set up for radiation and also chemo. That's the best we have for now.
Thanks for all your caring.
Joe

I'm always overwhelmed by the love and patience you both show. Give Jan an extra hug for us tonight, and know that we'll always be here thinking of and praying for both of you.

The docs know best, and it sounds like they have some tricks up their sleeves. We'll stay optimistic.

Our house is praying for you and Jan, Joe. I'm hoping you get to experience at least a little bit of peace and rest over the next few weeks and months as Jan's getting treatment.

We have moved into a new house. We are now by ourselves. Except for our 25 year old grand son. I just got my computer back on line today. Today was a busy day for us. First a Dr. visit then 4 hrs. of chemo for Jan then radiation. All at different places. Jan is holding up so far but cancer 5 times in 8 years has taken its toll. I just don't know how much more she can endure. I can surely see her wearing down. If she makes it to the 'World' one more time it will be a blessing.
Thanks again for your support guys.
Joe

Thanks for checking in, Joe. We're always eager to hear news from you. I know that every day is a blessing for you two, and I'm full of hope for Jan. You're both so lucky to have one another.

I'm also hopeful that your 25 yr old grandson is contributing around the house!! I'm intrigued about how you guys ended up as guardians there! biggrin

Jan is still in the hospital and feeling some better.
Obama said he was going to send every Medicare person who got caught in the 'Doughnut hole', with prescription drug part D, a check for $250.00. Jan said if we get one we should send it to Mickey right away for reservations. Positive thinking!

Brought Jan home from the hospital yesterday. Resumes her cancer treatments Monday.
On a positive note, we are checking for Fl. resident rates in Aug. or Sept.. I figure that's about when the medical bill collectors will be calling and I don't want to have any money laying around.
