Brought Jan back to the hospital today. This males 7 times as inpatient in 6 months. Don't know how much more she can take.

Jan is still in the hospital. Should get out by Monday. Can't wait for her to get back on the phone to Disney in our quest for Fl. resident rates.

That's a great photo of her by the way. Is that at the Polynesian? I can't really tell!

That is the Poly in the picture.
Jan got an early release for good behavior so I brought her home yesterday (Saturday).
Medicare is providing an in home oxygen pump. It will run 24/7. Now I have to find out if they will pay the electric bill. We were also given portable bottles to use when we are away from home. They only last about 3 hours so I will have to find out what Disney can do about it. They may rent bottles like they do scooters. Actually Disney doesn't, they outsource them.
Still working on getting reservations before the hospital bills arrive. Good thing I was trained in covert opps..

Joe, we'll miss you by about a month! I'm sorry we won't get to meet up.

But I AM glad to hear that Jan stopped being such a troublemaker and was able to come home early. ;-D

Let us know what you find out about oxygen bottles there. I imagine they've got something worked out.

So how many months will September be from your last trip? Your supply of Disney magic will be dwindling by then.

We were last at WDW in May for a week. Actually our stays wind up to be 5 or 6 days.
I don't think our Disney magic will ever dwindle. Let me try to put it into the perspective of old folks.
We have made many, many trips with our kids and grand kids to WDW. Those days are over. Which is why I have found this board is so appealing to me. I have been to quite a few Disney boards that are mostly focused on young families with children. They are all fun but don't relate to seniors or ' Grown ups' that go to the World for themselves. I know that most kids over 21 consider themselves to be grown up. I know my grand kids do. But Jan and I are seniors. We have no future. We are living our future right now. I retired 12 years ago. It's like being on a date all the time. The only thing in life we have to think about is our next trip to Disney. With over 6k Disney pictures I made into slide shows We can watch them and keep the spirit alive almost every day. We don't have to plan a future This is it.
When we go to Disney it is for just us. It is our own special magic. After 52 years of marriage Disney has nestled into a very special place in our romance.
We wish for you to find the same as your years go by.

So! How many others of you out there are in our position
Joe?

Hi Joe,
Mr Hub and I both love reading about your Disney adventures. We are not quite as "mature" as you and Jan are. Our boys are both grown and married now though. Although we still go to Disney with family and friends sometimes, my favorite trips are when we go just for us.

When IS that next trip Scrappy? Coming up, right?

Joe -- We're not to 52 years of marriage, yet, but our trips are most definitely "just for us." Not quite 100% retired, but we do find that "keeping the magic alive" has a lot to do with our mutual love for Disney. Our trips are just long, extended dates for us -- like you said. It's ideal for us.

SpaceAce, I think we are probably just going miss each other. We will be there Sept 26- Oct 2. We would love to meet up if we will be there at the same time.

We will be there (
Pop Century) Sept. 5th thru 10th.
Maybe some time we should all just make a time to book reservations.

Hi Joe, you keep asking for us to post some of our family pictures....well be careful of what you ask for. These will all be from our family trip we just took in June. They are the only ones I have loaded onto photobucket at the moment and that is the only way I know how to post pictures.

This is all of us which is MrHub, Myself, our sons, our daughter in laws and baby princess. This was taken at the Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. We were heading in for breakfast.

Same group as above heading into the Hoop-Dee-Do for dinner.

Just found updated Fl. resident rates for the week of Sept 5th that we had reservations for. The new rates just saved us over $150.00 for the 5 night stay.
Hoo Raa!!!
