Disney's Animal Kingdom will be debuting an all new premium nighttime event called 'Harambe Nights.'

Although not yet officially confirmed by Disney, this is what we understand will be on offer.

Each Saturday night, Disney's Animal Kingdom will host a special event including appetizers, beer and wine, along with a new theatrical show in the new Harambe Theater. Afterwards, more food and drink will be on offer at the Harambe Nights Street party.

'Harambe Nights' will run on Saturdays, from June 7 to August 9 2014, 7pm to 10:30pm.

Two categories of seating will be available. With Premium costing $134+ tax for adults, and $94 for ages 3-9. Regular seating will cost $119+tax for adults, and $79 for ages 3-9.

Ticket sales should begin soon, along with the official announcement.

Wow, pricey!!

Sounds good but very pricey.
I'd love to do it just to experience it - but not this time round.

Here is a much more detailed description, from the Disney park blog, of Harambe nights.

This is part of the description of the night:
It all begins with a Welcome Reception in the park's Harambe Village, including mouth-watering appetizers and African-inspired wine and beer. Then it's time for the 'mane' event! Take your seat inside the newly built Harambe Theatre for an unforgettable performance of "The Lion King " Concert in the Wild." This all-new, never-before-seen theatrical experience features a live orchestra and choir, dancers, digitally projected movie moments, and dramatic lighting and scenic elements " all hosted by a celebrity guest narrator. The show brings to life the humor, heart, and stirring emotional power of Simba's journey to find his place as the Lion King.

It also has a list of the celebrity narrators, Viola Davis and Alfre Woodard, are just a few of the celebrities.

Now this sounds worth the ticket price!

I'd love to do it, but they will have to extend into September for that to happen.

Don't confuse Harambe Nights with Harambe Massacre. The latter involves ecotourists being lead to the savannah where they are robbed, raped, throats slit, and body parts harvested. Harambe Nights is much more pleasant.

I'm just mad because this isn't offered when I'm going and neither is Epcot After Hours. And Rivers of Light...when? 2017 maybe.

Ah, you are not an Annual Passholder either? The title says it all - even if we wanted it, we are not AP. It was a big step for DH just to get a DV! LOL.

This isn't only for AP, this is for anyone going to Disney world during those dates. The first link that ScottFL posted, was just an email that we(AP) got before Harambe nights was officially announced. If you click on the link from my earlier post, it will tell you all about Harambe nights. That post is from the Disney parks blog.

I am including a link at the bottom of this post that is directly from the Disney world website. Anyone can purchase tickets right from this Disney website.

Au contraire! Actually, I am a Premium Annual Pass holding, DVC Card wielding, Disney Visa carrying type of fool. I drink all the kool-aid.
