Recently the Magic Kingdom hosted 101 dogs at the first-ever Disney Side Dog's Day.

This special event was held early in the morning on August 30 and had been announced a few days earlier on the Disney Parks Blog. Attendees were invited to the event based on their entries to the Disney Side Dog's Day contest.

Disney villains are getting a lot of attention at this year's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

This year's holiday event will feature Villains Mix & Mingle: Live on Stage at the Castle Forecourt Stage, and guests at the party will have a chance to meet their favorite Disney villains at locations throughout the Magic Kingdom.

Another Starbucks location is opening at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The new Starbucks will be located at Disney's Hollywood Studios and is scheduled to open early next winter.

The new location at Disney's Hollywood Studios will be named The Trolley Car Cafe and is being built in the former location of the L.A. Prop Cinema Storage merchandise store on Hollywood Boulevard.

This year's Festival of the Masters has been cancelled due to the ongoing construction at Downtown Disney.

The three-day art festival has been housed in Downtown Disney's West Side, but Disney recently announced that the festival will not be held this year as that area is unavailable due to the expansion construction.

This would have marked the 39th year of the Festival of the Masters. Last year's even featured more than 300 artists showcasing photography, painting, glasswork, sculptures, and more.

It sounds a little bit like something straight out of science fiction, but Disney recently filed three patent applications related to drone use in its theme parks.

The three patent applications are for: Aerial Display System with Floating Pixels, Aerial Display System with Floating Projection Screens, and Aerial Display System with Marionettes Articulated and Supported by Airborne Devices.

Lunch at Be Our Guest in the Magic Kingdom is the most sought-after quick service meal in the entire kingdom. If you aren't lucky enough to score a FastPass+ for lunch you either have to try to get one of the new standby tickets or stand in a terribly long line and hope to get in.
