My daughter and I just got back from a Disney trip that was a little unusual for me. While she went off to ride the rides in the Theme Parks with friends, I enjoy packing in a ton of fun outside the Disney Parks. I'd been putting off many fun Disney activities for years while I focused on park time. To my delight I discovered that it's true, you can have a fantastic Walt Disney World vacation without ever stepping foot in a park.
When I head to Walt Disney World, you can be assured that I am sipping and snacking my way all over the place. It's hard to choose just one fabulous spot to eat, especially when you are somewhere like Disney Springs. There are more Celebrity Chef eateries in this unofficial park than you can swing a Mickey Bar at. My last trip was filled with four days tasting my way through the springs, and I'm tell you that these are The Best 5 Things To Eat At Disney Springs This Summer.
If you and yours are looking for a fun way to spend a night at Walt Disney World Resort that's just off the beaten path, head over to Port Orlean's Riverside for a fun time at the River Roost Lounge. There not only can you can indulge in some hearty pub fare and Louisiana brews, but you can catch one of the best shows on property.
Chicken Guy! is a fantastic fast-casual restaurant in Town Center section of Disney Springs. Located along the outer curve of Planet Hollywood, this quick service sensation occupies its own space in the building where Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri has designed the menus for both. While reviews are often mixed on Planet Hollywood, this little chicken spot is fast becoming a popular fast dining destination.
Do you ever wonder what it would be like to visit a Disney park without the crowds? How about being able to go on most rides with little to no wait? Even better, how about complimentary ice cream novelties, bottled soda and water, and popcorn? Seems like a dream right? Well, Disney is the place where dreams come true! And thanks to Disney After Hours, you can make it happen!
I've spent many a night at Walt Disney World without a Park Ticket, that doesn't mean that I've missed out on the fun and beauty of the Magic Kingdom Fireworks. Recently I stopped by the beach at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, to relax and enjoy the view.
Happy Friday! We've made it through another week and I hope that yours was filled with 4th of July fun. I'll kick off the news round-up with an interesting tidbit, to the best of my knowledge there were no park closures down at Walt Disney World which is unusual. Looks like the creative pricing Disney is currently using has actually made an impact on one of the busiest days of the year. Now let's get on with the news!
I do love the Tiki Room, and it's true that I have more than one reminder of the enchanted space in my closet. When I can't get down to Disney, the kelly green gear is a cheerful way to brighten up my day. Consider it a feather in your cap to reach into your closet and grab a little bit of a tropical hide-away.
One of my favorite types of cookie is the French Macaron. These delicate confections have been gaining popularity in the US since around 2010, and Disney has several places you can pick up a box. Extremely tricky to make, Disney doesn't always French Macaroons justice, but here at Amorette's Patisserie in Disney Springs they have the skill and take the time to get it right.
The Boathouse Orlando is a Signature Restaurant in Disney Springs that focuses on high end steaks, chops, and fresh seafood. With seating for 600, the complex boasts four separate dining rooms, three different bars, a gift shop, and one of the most impressive collection of vintage boats and amphicars in the country.
