The future of Epcot looks lush and green from concept art shown at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California this weekend. Included amongst the plans revealed is a new walk through attraction called "Journey of Water" that was inspired by the playful personality of the element in Disney's Moana.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge was recently awarded by TIME Magazine as one of the World's Greatest Places. At Walt Disney World this extraordinary new land is set to open on August 29th, 2019. While being amongst the world's greatest is a huge honor, Disney's Hollywood Studios is about to launch our concept of what the "world" is into outer space. A First-of-its-kind vacation experience is in store for guests who book this voyage onboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Halcyon.

Four new films are on their way to the theaters of Epcot. Movies play a role in all of our lives, bringing us a sense of travel and adventure that leave us wanting more. In this spirit Disney is bringing a new level of artistic beauty to The Land and World Showcase which will offer a bright new picture our planet that inspires guests to discover more.

Over the past two years Cirque du Soleil has been doing extensive research into the world of Disney Animation for this extraordinary collaboration. They dove in and worked closely with legendary Disney animators to understand the process of animation and feel physicality as well as the emotion of it. Their goal was to find out how can animation be eternal, and capture that proverbial genie in the bottle of a show.

Disney Parks and Resorts revealed a brand-new look for the Epcot pavilion icons to usher in a new era of family entertainment at the popular theme park. With exciting new experiences on the way that called for new icon designs of their own (such as the Play Pavilion and Guardians of the Galaxy) it was a natural fit to give Epcot's standards new iconography as well.

Congratulations to the latest class of Disney Legends honored in a special ceremony today at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. The Disney Legend Award is the highest honor that the Disney Company gives. The award is a 32-year tradition of The Walt Disney Company. Disney Legends Award recipients will also participate in a handprint ceremony where their bronzed prints will be displayed in the Disney Legends Plaza at the Company's Burbank headquarters to inspire future generations.

D23 Expo has kicked off in Anaheim, California and even before the doors opened to fans exciting news about the future of Disney Parks and Resorts was revealed. A pavilion at Disney's ultimate fan convention entitled "Imagining Tomorrow, Today" shares a peek at what's in development at Disney Parks worldwide.
