The Walt Disney Company Names Tom Staggs Chief Operating Officer

The Walt Disney Company has named Tom Staggs the Chief Operating Officer. Staggs was the Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and will continue to lead the Parks and Resorts division while also working in his new role. A successor is expected to be named to take over the Parks and Resorts division at a later date.

Disney To Lay Off 28,000 From Parks, Cruise Line, and Products

The Walt Disney Company made the painful decision this week to eliminate thousands of jobs in Theme Parks, Cruise Line, and Retail. As a fan it's hard to hear because the cast members are a major component in what creates Disney Parks magic. Nine months into the COVID-19 pandemic, health and safety concerns continue to effect travel around the world and Disney struggles to balance business and safety while providing a quality vacation experience.

The Fabulous Fleet of Walt Disney World

Disney fans will sometimes banter about the joke that Disney is home to the world's largest inland Navy. While that's not technically true (Disney's vessels are not armed) it certainly has an impressive fleet! From paddle boats to pontoons, viking longships to pirate ships, and sea raycers to grand yachts if you love to be on the water the Vacation Kingdom of the World has something to make you smile. Cinderella Castle To Get A Fresh New Face

Cinderella Castle is the showpiece of Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. This towering structure that can be seen from all over the Park is the icon that most people think of when considering a Disney Park. With 2020 marking the 70th anniversary of Disney's original film Cinderella, and the 2021 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World right around the corner this beloved icon is getting a make-over.

Disney+ Reaches 28.6 Million Paid Subscribers

As expected Disney fans have embraced Disney+ and its incredible library of classic movies and shorts, popular series, recent theatrical releases and a growing slate of original content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and National Geographic. Recently The Walt Disney Company announced that Disney+ has amassed 28.6 million paid subscribers.
