Well Sunday saw the first weigh in of the year ...

The numbers were good yay yay
It is going in the right direction for both of us so we celebrated with a trip to Costa (other coffe chains are available) to get a large latte each. With the weather being dry we decided to walk the six mile round trip to keep up the good work.
Hope everyone else is getting on well so far crossfingers

Matt

Well it is raining again so no walking outside here! Seriously getting the winter blues already! All this dreary, dark, and damp weather is really blah!!
Keeping up trying to lose a couple of those pounds from Christmas goodies. Eating a lot of salads! awesome

Good morning! Alas, another spurt of icy and cold hitting us tomorrow. But, hopefully it won't last long. We have had such warm weather this week. It was in the 60s and sunny!! I actually walked outside more than inside this week. That hasn't happened since early December.
Hope everyone is doing well and will check in so we can see how you all are progressing on your exercise routines.
I am trying to stretch out an upper back muscle this week. I think I overstrained it, if that is a word, last week. It is ok as long as I move, but boy does it get stiff and pain when I get up in the morning. yuck
Keep moving! Lots of time to get ready for that next Disney vacation!! Fingers crossed that we can get back in September. DD and new DH going on long-awaited honeymoon to the world in April!!! clapping awesome biggrin

Our closest coffee shop is 3 miles away (costa).
Starbucks is due to open its doors next month .. about 400 yards closer laugh

Good afternoon! It is a blustery day here! We have had high winds all day with gusts near 40mph at times. Of course, the DH is at work getting those people their power back on in this wind. I had several errands to run and about got blown away. If it had blown me to warmer climates, I would have been fine with it. lol
This week has flown. This weekend is the big SuperBowl weekend. DH will watch it but I will cut over to catch my Downton Abbey at 9. Not missing it for anything!
Started changing up my workouts and incorporating my exercise ball some this week. Don't want my routine to become stale. Could feel it in my upper arms the next day. And I thought my weights were helping!
Everyone stay warm, safe, and dream of Disney vacations this weekend!! mickey

Happy Groundhog Day everyone!!
Sunny and windy here. Walking inside most likely and doing my stretching today. I didn't ruin my diet too much over the weekend except for that mexican food we had on Saturday night! silly I made homemade tomato balsamic soup and veggie sandwiches last night to make up for it. lol
Hope everyone will have a great week. Keep moving!! Summer is not far away! awesome

Haven't been on here in a while; thought I would pop in and say hi. Smile

Taking ice skating this semester. Kind of because of Frozen. I was in WDW for the Frozen Summer Fun at DHS last summer, and I tried the ice skating at the temporary rink they had, and low and behold, I loved it! So I'm taking it as a class. Exhausting, but well worth it. My balance is all around better, I can walk better in heels, and my posture has improved, all with only a few weeks of it. So had it not been for Frozen, I would have never learned to ice skate.

Hope you all are well!

I have staked a few times - and it is hard work on the legs, gladyou are seeing an improvement.

I am doing 4 exercise classes per week at the minute, depending on which days I can do. Found out that I am loving circuit based training and I am getting loads fitter already (Although last night I felt like I was dying!)

Well Iam back...Same weight as last year..Every week I go up and down like a Rollercoaster....So for 2015 here is my plan..Eat what I want ( within reason ) Walk a little ( weather permitting) Watch my alcohol intake ( within reason) ..So if I make it back this year in November and I look as fit as Peter Pan, then good for me..However if I end up looking like Tweedle Dee, then so be it... laugh

Hey starwarsgirl95! We have missed you! Glad you are staying active. I envy the skating!! I only did some roller skating back in high school and never tried ice skating. It sounds like fun!!

Well after putting on 3 layers, I did my walking outside today!! The wind kept it a little chilly so I really didn't get overheated until I slowed down and nearly finished. I love walking outside!! clapping
I am really trying to get in over 10,000 steps in per day. So far, I walk more than that so that is exciting! But, this next cold blast this weekend is going to wreak havoc with my outdoors! Our wind chill hits below zero on Sat night!! Ugh! Where is spring?? I really feel for my friends in the Northeast esp in Boston with that snow! Hope you guys are safe and not going crazy yet!! My DH would have to medicate me if I got stranded inside for very long! laugh
I am unwinding by listening to a really good violinist. Happy day! Feeling good! Everyone keep it moving!!

It's incredibly hard. After the second time I did it, I could barely move the next day. Twice a week, so I'm improving at it quickly. Only an 8 week class instead of the traditional 16 week class because it's only one credit but is twice a week. I think it's something I'll keep doing in the future.

I don't like roller skating, but ice skating is a blast once you figure out how to do it. Maybe after I'm finished ice skating I'll try roller skating again. Though I find ice skating to be easier ironically.

Glad to be back! Realized it had been a while since I checked in here. School keeps me busy.

Hey guys and gals! Sorry I haven't been on so much lately. How you all doing? Hope you have had better luck than we have in getting outdoors for exercise! We have had a couple of weekends that were nice enough to get out and trim some bushes. Then, the cold snap sprang. All week my exercise has consisted of breaking up ice in the driveway. My front yard is now a skating rink!! (starwarsgirl95 you need to bring skates and come over! lol)
At least our power has stayed on so far. DH has worked a bit but made it home at night. Our vent-free fireplace propane tank decided to run out with this awful cold temps coming. But, yayy, he came home at lunch yesterday and got it up and running again with a smaller tank. I didn't want my heat source to go out and not have a backup or my DH would return home to find a frozen wife and kitty!
Some good news though. Tuesday night we had tickets to see Ringo Starr and his All-Star Band. We were holding out for the weather and decided just hours before to try to make it down the mountain. The roads were not too bad once we got out of our driveway. (plus I had cleaned off the car and cleaned some of the drive all day which helped)
The concert was in my top 10 that I have been to!! It was just awesome!! We had so much fun singing to all the old songs. We saw some great talent too!! Todd Rundgren and Greg Bissonette were among the group. Totally the best late-Valentine's date ever!! biggrin
I am very gabby today! lol Got to go do some walking inside and do some yoga stretches. Let me know how you guys are doing. Hope you are all somewhere safe and warm. Think Spring!!!!!
