Hi all! It's been a while

Trying to get in shape in time for my trip to Oahu and Aulani (see ticker). yay

Ice skating definitely helped, but definitely still work to do. Did some my Pilates DVD Monday. Took Tuesday off. And then came down with a sinus infection yesterday. I was so achy that I thought it best not to exercise. Once we hit our deductible, need to go see the ear nose and throat doctor who took my tonsils out when I was 13 to find out why I'm getting so many sinus infections and colds.

After I get over this, will make sure to get back into a routine. With it being the last week of classes and finals and final papers rapidly approaching, exercise is even more important to relieve stress. Once the semester is over, I am going ice skating, even if I have to go by myself.

Hope everyone is well!

Good morning! LOL The only good thing about allergy season is that my meds wear off and I'm up super early, even by my crazy regular hours. My friend and I joke that we should start doing the early bird senior dinner due to the hours we keep. Today is a 5 mile walking dvd. I wish I'd have time to be outside all day, but a food shopping I must go. Oh well at last it looks like winter has truly broken and I'll be outside walking quite a bit, pollen permitting. Have a wonderful weekend everybody and Happy mother's day Boomer!

Welcome back Mr. Ferret and Boomer! muchlove Time to burn those Disney calories LOL waiting I bonked my head yesterday so no weights until Friday sad Funny thing is the bonk happened because I was getting something from a lower cabinet and my ds pulled a drawer out over me! I'm ok just a mild concussion. No driving or weights for another 48 hours! I was told to take it easy. So just a bit of cardio and outdoor walking. sad

Oops...I kinda know the feeling..My boy had a hot fever last year and about 5.00am he decided to jump into my bed ( his temperture was so high his bed was drenched in sweat ) So after he dozed off, he decided to have a nightmare and accidentally punched me so hard it nearly knocked me out of bed..I got up in the morning sporting a black eye and a bruise on my forehead..I felt unwell all day, slightly light headed...My wife slept thro the whole thing until she saw my face in the morning..lol..However that day I had to take it easy she said..So after a nice jug of Tequila, grapefruit juice, and fresh lime cordial, I felt as right as rain... waiting Try it Figgy...Its great for mild concussion .. awesome

Summer is here and with only 400 days until we leave it's time for me to get up and get out! 6 miles power walked today and with the rainy weekend coming it's going to be some exercise DVDs for me.

After a run of quite bad exercise problems I'm balanced out a bit now, can't do as many classes for medical reasons but Fitbit is helping me manage my goals and keep me on track.

With only 60 days to go I hope to be able to get a little more weight off and hope to stay at some level of fitness, my training courses/ work events are slowing down so I can get back to eating better too.

Hope everyone has had a good workout week

Yea! After this past weekend I thought ark building and gathering animals 2 by 2 would be my workout! But the skies have cleared somewhat and I managed to get in 5 miles. I hope it stays clear to get in some strolling later.

I did a 16 mile horse riding event yesterday, not done one that long in about 10 years, I ache so much right now! But will go for a little stroll later on I think.

Sounds like everyone is getting on well, and WM I agree with the Indian food, it's a killer for the diet.

Hi Kids!!! It's me and I am back at it...

I registered for the Princess 5K in February and Training and Diet start TODAY! I've done a couple 5Ks and I use to run a lot so I hope it's not too bad to get back into it. After the whole ankle thing I've not "stuck" to the running thing like I should but now I have something to work towards. 2017 is the 10K with a friend of mine so this is a good start.

Started Advocare today, I would like to loose 25 but I will be happy with what I get. I have 7 months to get there. My hubby also got me a punching bag this weekend that I am SUPER EXITED about! stars

I will be going alone and I'm actually really looking forward to it! 2 new Disney experiences in one this trip!

Hope you are all doing well!

I'm still here and working out as usual. 1 hour each am and all the extra walking I can squeeze in so I can squeeze into my Disney attire! I can't believe I'm almost down to 180 days to ADR day!

back in the pool on Tuesday. I've got a few double shifts before getting back to a regular schedule and then it's workout until our January cruise. I did my first 5k on Castaway Cay and earned my first medal Smile it was awesome even when we were caught in a midday rainstorm.

yay yay yay yay

GOOOO DEE!!!!

I can't wait to do the Princess 5k, then I am for sure going to do the Castaway 5k in April! I'm down 7 pounds now. (I'm at my granny's for a few days, it's not pretty, coconut cake, taters, burgers, and cornbread are all staples when we are here)

But I am still doing my best, got a ton of yard work done here for her yesterday and sweat off the cake!!!!

Hope you all are having a fab weekend!

Started a couch to 5k program last week to get ready for the January 5k at Epcot. Haven't run for probably 20 years- needless to say, I'll be repeating the week one run/walk for a few weeks before graduating to week two! But this morning, I realized that I knocked off nearly a half a lap distance around the track from my first attempt. There may be hope for me! I would've never considered trying this if I hadn't come to this forum-thanks for getting me up and moving. This is a great support system. yeah

--sorry Jmed-I deleted too much of the quote!

I know, I looked at Jeff's program too-I feel like an outcast without an iphone! I have a simple android mp3 player, so I downloaded "running into shape" with Carli Fierce ( Smile at runningintoshape.com. I downloaded the rock music version. The tempo's a bit slow, but so am I. waiting I started by walking every day for two weeks, then began her program. I actually think I can do this one!
