Did you enjoy your Beignets?

That picture was taken at the NOLA French Market Cafe' and I think that of all the beignets that I've eaten, they were probably the worst! They are much lighter and fluffier at POFQ. We also hit the Cafe Du Monde near the airport on that trip and they Beignets there were much better. I think that they pump so many people through French Market at such a high rate of speed that they have really lost the quality of the product there.

Here's my Disney version of that picture:

Untitled

I saw the Cafe de Monde cup in the back ground so I knew you were in the LA French Quarter. Since I can't go to that French Quarter I will have to settle for my French Quarter. I don't think any of the beignets can touch Cafe De Monde. Unless it is a really bad batch. Sorry you had bad batch. I also say life is too short for bad tasting calories.

This is about 9 pics taken at 200mm and stitched together in Hugin, if you want to check out the full size pic its here you can read all the signs on the ship its a cool program and works with point and shoot cameras. you guys can do big wide ange shots of disney with your point and shoot cameras and zoom in on the details.

I'm guessing that this may not be your typical photo image, but what the hey, it was still something I took! Smile

This is an SEM image of a copper surface that has been polished with a 3200 grit sand paper. You wouldn't know by looking at this that the surface actually has an almost mirror finish!

It looks like water flowing over rocks at first glance.

This is the straight-on image of that same surface.

If this were skin, I seriously need to see a dermatologist. Smile

My response was going to be muchlove "I love the one with the pink & blue flowers"....LOL....Kristin did a better job as she apparently knows her flowers as well as her Disney!
So in short -- I second Kristin!!! wink

Love the Mackinac picture! Nice color on that one. My aunt used to take me there every summer when I was little, it was beautiful.

Thanks. We went there last spring for the lilac festival - it was a great trip. Of all the pictures I took of this spot, this was the only one that caught the different colours of the water.
