• Disneyland Summer Discounts for Southern California Residents

    Residents of southern California are in for a great deal this summer at Disneyland. Those residing in Southern California and Northern Baja in zip codes 90000-93599 and 21000-22999 can take advantage of a special three-day ticket to enjoy at either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure.

    The cost of the special ticket is $139 and will let guests have three visits to either park. Tickets are good for one park visit per day within a forty-five day period, though guests can upgrade to include the Park Hopper option for an additional $15 per ticket.

  • Eat to the Beat Concert Series Is Back for 2011

    Though summer has just started, it's never too early to talk about Epcot's Food and Wine Festival. The ever popular fest will be back this year, and with it comes the Eat to the Beat Concert Series. Recently, the lineup was announced, and here are the acts that will take the stage this fall:

  • Artist Point Now Has Copper River King Salmon

    Artist Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge recently welcomed back a guest-favorite fish to its nightly menu: the Copper River King Salmon. How popular is this Alaskan fish, you may ask? Turns out, patrons of Artist Point sign up for an email notification alerting them to the fact that the fish's season has arrived.

  • Meet Phineas and Ferb at DHS

    They were on, and then they were off. Now, Phineas and Ferb are back on for a brand-new character "play-and-greet" experience at Disney Hollywood Studios.

  • Release Date Set for 'Oz'

    Buzz has been surrounding Disney's take on the classic Oz story, and now "Oz: The Great and Powerful" has a release date. Fans will have to wait until March 8, 2013 to get a glimpse of this 3D prequel to the Judy Garland classic.

    With Sam Raimi directing, the film will tell the story of how the wizard, as portrayed by James Franco, came to be in Oz. Also on board to star in the film as one of the two witches who controls Oz is Mila Kunis. Rachel Weisz is rumored to be in talks to play the other witch, while Michelle Williams may be in negotiations to play Glinda the Good Witch.

  • New Fantasyland Expansion Details

    A recent D23 event shed more light onto the ongoing Fantasyland expansion at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. The creative director of the expansion, Chris Beatty of Disney Imagineering, was on hand to divulge some details.

    First off, there will be a new wall to separate Cinderella's Castle from Fantasyland. The wall, which will be situated where the current Dumbo ride is, will look "old" and "like it's always been there" according to Beatty.

  • 'American Idol' Scotty McCreery Coming to Hollywood Studios

    Attention fans of "American Idol": this year's recently crowned winner, Scotty McCreery, will be coming to Disney Hollywood Studios on Memorial Day. The festivities, including a "gala motorcade," will begin at 10 a.m. tomorrow (May 30).

    It appears details for the event are still trickling in, but the Disney Parks Blog is reporting Scotty will take a ride with Mickey in a sports car from the park's entrance, down Hollywood Blvd. and ending up near (appropriately enough) the American Idol Experience.

  • Woman Who Lost Consciousness After Riding Space Mountain Improving

    Miranda Baldwin, an English woman who was found to be unconscious after riding the Magic Kingdom attraction Space Mountain last weekend, remains in the hospital but looks to be improving.

    The 48-year-old is still in the intensive care unit at Dr. P Phillips Hospital near Orlando, Florida. A sheriff's statement and family comments have said that the woman is now alert and responding to commands. The woman's exact condition or ailment has not been released.

  • Movie Buzz: "Oz" and "The Lone Ranger"

    Disney always seems to have several movie irons going in the fire, so here is some recent buzz surrounding some of its upcoming films.

    First off, word on the street has it that Michelle Williams may be coming on board "Oz: The Great and Powerful" as Glinda the Good Witch. James Franco and Mila Kunis are already set to star in the picture, and talks are still continuing with Rachel Weisz to bring that actress into the project as well. Willliams is a two-time Oscar Nominee who is known for her work in "Blue Valentine" and "Brokeback Mountain."

  • The Enchanted Tiki Room Will Reopen This Summer

    Disney recently announced that its Magic Kingdom attraction, the Enchanted Tiki Room, will reopen sometime this summer after a facelift. Shut down in January due to a fire, the latest version of this classic is said to be "reminiscent of the original show" called Tropical Serenade.

    This will be at least the second revamping of the attraction. In 1998, the show added "Now Under New Management" to its name and included appearances by Iago from "Aladdin" and Zuzu from "The Lion King."
