When you have a serious food allergy or dietary restrictions, a visit to a theme park can often lead to frustration and uncertainty about food safety. But Disney is working to make dining out with food allergies easier for guests.

Disney's Animal Kingdom recently opened a kiosk to help guests with food allergies, intolerances, and other issues. The kiosk - called Gardens - is located on Discovery Island adjacent to Adventures Outpost.

My hands down favorite spot to grab a snack at Disney's Hollywood Studios is the Writer's Stop. It's a charming little bookstore and cafe just around the corner between the Streets of America and the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. Walt Disney World recently donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross Mid-Florida Region to support the organization's disaster relief services.

Festival of the Lion King - the popular live show featuring songs from The Lion King - is moving to a new home at Disney Animal Kingdom sometime next year.

Disney recently announced that a new structure is under construction and should be ready to host the show sometime in 2014. The new theater will be located in the Harambe Village section in the Africa area of the Animal Kingdom, which seems fitting considering The Lion King takes place in Africa.
