Disney’s Animal Kingdom Debuts Gardens Kiosk for Guests with Food Allergies and Other Dietary Restrictions

When you have a serious food allergy or dietary restrictions, a visit to a theme park can often lead to frustration and uncertainty about food safety. But Disney is working to make dining out with food allergies easier for guests.

Disney's Animal Kingdom recently opened a kiosk to help guests with food allergies, intolerances, and other issues. The kiosk - called Gardens - is located on Discovery Island adjacent to Adventures Outpost.

It's a charming little bookstore and cafe just around the corner between the Streets of America and the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. Disney recently announced that a new structure is under construction and should be ready to host the show sometime in 2014. The new theater will be located in the Harambe Village section in the Africa area of the Animal Kingdom, which seems fitting considering The Lion King takes place in Africa.
