Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks Reopen After Hurricane Irma

The Walt Disney World Resort felt the force of Hurricane Irma Sunday night after the hurricane took a turn and headed north to Orlando. The theme parks were closed Sunday and Monday due to the storm, but the Resort hotels were full of guests riding out the wind and rain.

Capacity Increases At Florida Disney Parks

There's little question that crowds in the Disney Parks this Holiday Season will be some of the lowest ever. Back in October, Disney CEO Bob Chapek confirmed that the parks were operating at 25% capacity and said that the plan was to maintain a capacity level that allowed for social distancing according to the CDC's COVID-19 guidelines until those guidelines changed. EPCOT Festival of the Arts in Disney World Begins In January 2021

Dates for the 2021 Epcot International Festival of the Arts have been set to run January 8th through February 22nd, 2021. This annual celebration of creativity will run at Walt Disney World seven days a week again in 2021.

Baby White Rhinoceros Welcomed At Disney's Animal Kingdom

White rhinos may be the world's second largest land animal, but they are an endangered species with a near-threatened status. That's why it's especially happy news that Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park just welcomed a brand new baby white rhinoceros to the family. The yet-to-be-named rhino is expected to make his debut on the savanna in the coming weeks. Guests aboard the park's Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction will then have a chance to see the calf in its habitat.

Epcot's 2020 Festival Of The Holidays Makes Merry For Guests

Epcot's International Festival Of The Holidays is a huge annual draw for Walt Disney World travelers. The 2020 "Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays" will scale back the celebration to allow for social distancing, but the Park will still be bringing the fun with Holiday Kitchens, Special Musical Performances, and of course an appearance by Santa Claus all happening November 27 - December 30, 2020.

Inside The Epcot Preview Center At The Odyssey

Last week while in Epcot, Jen and I stopped in to the Odyssey Building to see what was inside. We were excited to see the display of the future of Epcot. The room contained a model display of Epcot in the center with a movie screen all around the room. The movie screen showed the new rides and experiences coming to Epcot. The colors of the display changed to match the movie.

Disposable Mask Vending Machines At Disney Parks Bus Terminals

If you've made it from your Resort Hotel to the Theme Park and discovered that somehow you forgot your mask, or if you just want to grab a spare at reduced cost, Disney has you covered right at the bus stop. On a recent trip I spotted this face mask vending machine sitting outside the Magic Kingdom's bus station.
