Jay Rasulo, Disney’s Chief Financial Officer, Stepping Down at End of June

The Walt Disney Company's chief financial officer Jay Rasulo will step down at the end of the month according to CEO Bob Iger. Rasulo was passed over for the chief operating officer job back in February when that position went to Tom Staggs.

The Walt Disney World Resort has started to introduce allergy-friendly menus at nearly 120 quick service and table service locations. The menus were being rolled out at the table service restaurants on April 14 and will be at other table service and quick service spots by September.

The Walt Disney Company has named Tom Staggs the Chief Operating Officer. Staggs was the Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and will continue to lead the Parks and Resorts division while also working in his new role. A successor is expected to be named to take over the Parks and Resorts division at a later date.

Agreement between Disney Parks and Mylan Inc to Provide EpiPen Access in Theme Parks

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and Mylan Inc, the maker of EpiPen and EpiPen Jr, recently signed a multi-year agreement that will provide guests with access to EpiPes in Disney's domestic theme parks and on Disney Cruise Line ships.

Tickets on Sale Now for 2015 D23 Expo

Tickets are on sale for the 2015 D23 Expo which will take place August 14-16, 2015 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The D23 Expo is the largest Disney fan event in the world, celebrating all facets of Disney entertainment including The Walt Disney Studios (including Marvel, Pixar, and Lucasfilm), Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Disney Consumer Products, Disney media networks, and Disney Interactive.

In 2013 more than 65,000 Disney fans gathered for the third annual D23 Expo.

Paul Candland Named President of The Walt Disney Company Asia

The Walt Disney Company recently announced that Paul Candland was named to the newly created position of president, The Walt Disney Company Asia.

In this position, Candland will have oversight of Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and Greater China and will be responsible for driving the company's strategy and business efforts in Asia. Candland, a 16-year Disney veteran, was president of Walt Disney Japan.

Joffrey's head roastmaster collaborated with top Disney chefs to create the specialty blends.

Disney Executive Who Oversaw Development of MyMagic+ Set to Leave Walt Disney Company in July

The Walt Disney Company executive who headed the development of the MyMagic+ program is leaving the company.

Nick Franklin has been with The Walt Disney Company since 1996 and is the longest-serving member of the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts executive committee.

A Disney spokesperson said the decision to leave the company was Franklin's and he is planning to help other companies use innovation the way he did with Disney.

The Magic Kingdom's Festival of Fantasy Parade

Over the years I haven't been known to be much of a parade fan. However, on my last trip to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom I was absolutely blown away by my first viewing of the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. Just a little over a year old (it debuted February 10th, 2014) this is a production on a grand scale and kicks off in the afternoon to continue the Disney tradition of classic parades in the Magic Kingdom.

Previewing The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

The last bit of the New Fantasyland is still under construction at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, but each day fans get a little closer to getting to ride on the "Seven Dwarfs Mine Train." The opening date is set for "later this Spring" but when exactly we still don't know. Walls have been down and a there were even some test riders recently.
