Have You Got A Sweet Tooth..?..

Well I must admit, when I go out for a nice sit down meal it's usually a starter and a main entree, however, I am partial to a nice sweet now and again..Creme Brulee or a Dark chocolate Cranach with a Drambuie liqueur sauce..But one of my favourite sweets at Disney is a perfectly made Florida Key Lime Pie..( See Photo ) ....So have you a sweet tooth, and if so, what is your favourite dessert..?..

Add mango pie and you have our two all time favorites and no matter how many times I make it at home, it's not the same (it's the same recipe but not the right place to enjoy it).

I'm not a huge dessert fan; I'd rather have a nice starter/appetizer, or at a buffet more of the "real" food. But if creme brulee or flan is on the menu, I can be persuaded.

I just stick to ice cream and Dole Whips when it comes to dessert.

Not really a dessert person, but I could eat the fried wontons at Yak and Yeti any time.

I've got more than one sweet tooth! I like to check dessert menus first so I know how much room to save Wink
As for my favourite disney dessert, it's got to be the ooey gooey toffee cake from Liberty Tree Tavern. But there are MANY more I like!

My favorite dessert at WDW is the grapefruit cake at Hollywood Brown Derby.

We are normally on the dining plan some do the deserts. It's fun but if they were not included I doubt we would bother with most.

We usually always want an appetizer followed by our main course. After that we are usually pretty full. There are times when we will have a desert though. I would not say I have sweet tooth as much as I must have a chocolate tooth. I am not very interested in sweets unless there is chocolate involved. And even then, the darker the chocolate the better I usually like it.

Dessert is almost always a must. I will almost always go with anything that is a daily special. But, left to my own devices, I love artisanal cheese and a glass of port for dessert.

I looooove dessert! It's my favorite. This trip we had amazing desserts like baklava and lave cake at Kouzzina, the strawberry cheesecake cupcake and the grey stuff at BOG were amazing. And don't forget the bread pudding with bananas fosters sauce and ice cream at Ohana!

The Strawberry Peach cobbler at Whispering Canyon. Oh. My. Wonderfulness. I'm SUPER excited to go back, though their menu right now says Apple Carmel Cobbler. I really hope it's still there!!

They taste as good as they look. When I first heard of them (thanks to people here), I thought, "wontons? For dessert?" It's hard to describe the taste, but they are yummy. The ice cream on the side is just a bonus, and you can easily share an order - I don't think I could eat the whole thing, even though I love them. Peter and I usually end up fighting over the last scraps though. laugh

I would say all but about 2 of my teeth are "sweet teeth!" I would forgo a meal of "real food" for dessert any day of any week. As far as Disney, I agree with spook and the ooey gooey toffee cake at Liberty Tree Tavern is my favorite. Other desserts that top the list are school bread from Kringla Bakeri, a red velvet cupcake from Starring Rolls, and several desserts from Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie(i.e., Napoleon, chocolate croissant and the chocolate tart.)

I wish I didn't have a sweet tooth. Restaurant choice often depends on the deserts. Cheesecake, baklava, cupcakes, key lime pie, pecan pie, I'll eat almost any desert. Unless it has blueberries, won't touch blueberries yuck . dole whips are at the top of the list, but they are mostly pineapple, so they count as fruit. laugh

Great to know! We'll be eating there during our May trip!

I have a HUGE sweet tooth. I will eat any cupcake you put in front of me. I had a pumpkin/cream cheese one at the Boardwalk Bakery in October that was excellent(seasonal, though, I'm pretty sure). I'm VERY excited to try the Gourmet Cake Cups at the Cheshire Cafe at The Magic Kingdom, and I just read about an iced coffee float at Auntie Gravity's that I think is right up my alley. Also, the carrot cake cookie at Hollywood Studios is legendary....Okay, I gotta stop- my mouth is watering....

There are some wonderful fried wontons at Yak and Yeti in AK. Someone in our group has them every time we go there.

I am not the sweet eater in the family and don't usually crave much of it, but DH considers them part of the four major food groups: sugar, protein, breads, and sugar. His idea of a diet (it is usually works waiting ) is cutting down on his veggie intake.
I think the reason I am drawn to cheesecake is that it isn't THAT sweet (we are talking PLAIN cheesecake here).

I love the key lime tart at HOB and also the cobbler from Artist Point. The DH loves creme brulee he orders it whenever it is on a menu.

This exactly. I can always pass up dessert for an app. I am, however, looking forward to trying the fried wontons this trip!

The older I get the less I like really sweet desserts. I like desserts that are more tart.

I agree with you pirategirl, I like desserts that are a bit more tart - I find nearly all the desserts in the USA sweeter than we get back home. I do love the mango pie at yak and yeti, I have to eat it with the fresh mango that comes on the side to cut through the sweetness. that being said, I do have a HUGE sweet tooth. I am a big fan of ice cream - I know to some its boring but I just love the stuff Smile anything creamy for dessert is good for me actually Wink

I can't do ice cream either too much sugar and it makes me deathly ill. yuck I had the carrot cake cookie from Writer's Stop and I could not eat it. The cream in the middle was sooooooooooo sweet well it was just not edible for me.

I haven't eaten at enough restaurants to have any specific favorites for dessert, but I would much rather have an appetizer with my meal than a dessert anyway. I'm normally not hungry enough for dessert directly after a meal and would much rather have a sweet snack later on!

I do have a sweet tooth, though - it just happens to kick in about an hour or so after I eat my meal.

This is why I run: so I can have apps, desserts AND drinks!!! laugh

I LOVE schoolbread in Norway. It's probably my favorite dessert. But all the pastries I've had in France are delicious, too. Oh! And the creme brulee I had at the GF intimate dining.
