Epcot's Japan Pavilion Has New Ice Pop Stand

An ice pop can be just what the doctor ordered when taking in Disney on a hot day, and guests circling the World Showcase can find one at a new stand in the Japan pavilion.

The tasty treats will set you back (drumroll, please) only a buck. Yep, you read that right: you can have an icy treat at Epcot for $1.00. These ice pops come in melon, lemon, orange, grape and strawberry.

Reports out of Epcot say the ice pops have a good flavor, a sturdy plastic wrapper and are easily broken in two for sharing.

    Cupcake Update

Usually, you don't think of "cupcakes" and "news" in the same sentence. But when there are two new cupcakes to be had at Walt Disney World, that means there are two reasons to do a news blurb on the sweet treats.

First up, the Pop Century resort has a new cupcake: the King. You guessed it, it's a tribute to the King himself - Elvis Presley. This new concoction features chocolate cake with a banana custard filling and peanut butter frosting. The finishing touch? None other than candied bacon and a chocolate drizzle.

Royal Plaza Hotel at Walt Disney World to Become a B Hotel

The Royal Plaza Hotel at Walt Disney World will soon be getting a makeover and a new name. Earlier this week, B Hotels & Resorts LLC announced they would make the Royal Plaza a B Hotel.

This will make the third B Hotel in Florida. The B Ocean Fort Lauderdale opened last year while the B Hotel South Beach is set to open early 2013. In addition, B Hotels & Resorts LLC are planning to start a full service budget chain of hotels called "b2." The first of this chain is expected to debut in Miami early next year.

Walt Disney World Raises Ticket Prices

Visiting the happiest place on earth just got a bit pricier. At the end of last week, Disney raised ticket prices to its Walt Disney World parks.

Mutli-day tickets were also subject to the rise in prices and jumped up anywhere from five to sevent percent. Adding the "Park Hopper" option to the multi-day tickets rose by $2 and now stands at $57.
