Have you ever walked through the front doors of a Walt Disney World Resort hotel and instantly fallen in love? It's happened to me a few time (Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge, I'm looking at you). Last week it happened again when I stepped into Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort. We're talking LOVE at first sight.

In the context of popular Japanese culture "kawaii" represents all things cute. A multitude of adorable characters have become a true phenomenon in the modern era and can even be said to have taken over the more staided and refined national identity. The current art exhibit in the Bijutsu-kan Gallery at Epcot's Japan Pavilion showcases this movement, and you can read about it in our previous article Kawaii: The Culture of Cute.

On of the most unique features of Disney's Animal Kingdom is the fact that the animals on display are real. This exceptional theme park not only provides thrill seeking fun, but has a deeper purpose through the Disney Conservation Fund to preserve Walt Disney's legacy of love for the natural world and its resources. If you're visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, staying at an on-property hotel, and you use the My Disney Experience app, you can now take care of your online check-in from the app. The most recent update to the app now gives guests the ability to utilize online check-in (which you could previously access online).

Comfort food is defined as a food (or drink) that provides a sense of well-being and is usually high in sugar or carbs. That pretty defines everything I love to eat, so narrowing down a list of my favorite "comfort food" at Disney World might seem daunting.

The death of Legendary Disney Imagineer Martin A. "Marty" Sklar at age 83 has left the Disney community heartbroken. We here at Walt Disney World for Grown-ups mourn with out friends and colleagues as we honor one of the most beloved Imagineers. If you love the Disney Parks, you have been touched in some way by the indomitable spirit and Imagineering of Marty Sklar. He was a mentor to generations of Cast Members and Imagineers, and a icon to Disney fans around the globe.

A new area, Grand Avenue, is opening this fall at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The area is located in what remains of the Streets of America and is meant to "capture the spirit of present-day Downtown Los Angeles." Grand Avenue will feature vintage office buildings and warehouses that represent the vibrant cultures of the city.

When looking for a thrill at Epcot many guests head straight for Mission: SPACE. Since 2003 this exciting attraction has been launching guests into space for a thrilling, authentic, NASA-style Mission. Currently there are two different voyages for "trainees" ready to take on the X-2 Deep Space Shuttle flight to Mars; the Orange Team which experiences a 2.5 g-force inducing spin, or the Green Team which is a much more mild version of the experience.
