Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue Celebrated 40th Anniversary this Month

The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is one of the longest-running dinner shows in America, and it recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.

The show got its start in the summer of 1974 as part of the Disney World Fine Arts College Workshop program. After a summer of performances Walt Disney World decided to hire a permanent cast and the show opened on September 5, 1974.

Disney Parks Moms Panel Search Begins September 2

It's that time of year again: the search for the newest members of the Disney Parks Mom Panel opens September 2.

The Disney Parks Moms Panel has been around since 2008 when it was called the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

Several years ago the name was changed to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to include other Disney vacation experiences including Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, and runDisney.

The panel might be called the "Moms Panel" but there are dads, aunts, and grandparents answering questions as panelists too.

Four Seasons Orlando Opens at the Walt Disney World Resort

The newest luxury hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort is now open.

The Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort opened its doors on August 3 offering guests a luxury stay with the benefits of staying "on property" minus any reference to the top Mouse.

Disney Parks and Resorts Salutes Military Personnel with Special Rates on Rooms and Tickets Through 2015

Disney Parks has once again extended its Armed Forces Military Salute which gives active and retired U.S. military personnel special rates on theme park tickets and accommodations.

At the Walt Disney World Resort military personnel (including active and retired members of the U.S. Coast Guard, National Guard, and reservists) or their spouses can purchases the following theme park tickets from August 25 2014 through September 30, 2015:

Vinylmation Series Park Starz 3 Artists to Meet Fans on June 27 at D-Street in Downtown Disney

The newest Vinylmation set, the Park Starz 3 series, was recently released and the artists behind the series are ready to meet their fans.

The three Disney Design Group artists, Thomas Scott, Casey Jones, and Caley Hicks, are participating in a meet-and-greet and signing event on June 27 at D-Street in Downtown Disney from 5-6 p.m.

Cherry Tree Lane Opening Soon in Marketplace Co-Op at Downtown Disney

When the Marketplace Co-Op opens in Downtown Disney this summer, one of the boutiques will be a one-stop-shop for accessories and designer handbags.

Cherry Tree Lane's merchandise will includes jewelry, watches, scarves, ballet flats, and of course Disney handbags.

The name of the store was inspired by the street where Mr. Banks and his family live in Disney's Mary Poppins, and the fixtures in the store include references to the film such as iconic umbrellas, hats, and kites.

Global Sing-Along Planned as Disney Parks Celebrates 50th Anniversary of ‘it’s a small world’

The classic Disney Parks attraction 'it's a small world' is celebrating its 50th anniversary and fans can join in the celebration through a global sing-along.

Disney created the website SmallWorld50.com as a "global hub" of music and harmony where guests can record videos of themselves singing the attraction's theme song. Guests can also create virtual 'it's a small world' dolls to benefit UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund).

Dates Officially Announced for the 2015 D23 Expo in Anaheim

The dates for the 2015 D23 Expo were announced by Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger at The Walt Disney Company's Annual Meeting on March 18.

D23: The Official Disney Fan Club presents the Expo and the 2015 event is scheduled for August 14-16, 2015 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

"The D23 Expo is the ultimate Disney fan event, created to honor and celebrate your love of all things Disney," Iger told shareholders and D23 Members at the Company's Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon. "And we hope to see you there."

Walt Disney World Resort Announces Ticket Price Increase and Seasonal Pricing

It's official. The Walt Disney World Resort is moving to a tiered pricing system for theme park tickets. Effective February 28, Disney is shifting to seasonal pricing for 1-day theme park tickets, and during the peak season a 1-day ticket to the Magic Kingdom will cost $124.
