Victoria & Albert’s Once Again Honored as One of the Top Restaurants in the United States

Victoria & Albert's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa was recently named one of the top restaurants in the country in TripAdvisor's 2015 Travelers' Choice Awards. The restaurant is the only Florida restaurant on the list and is rank 6th out of 25.

Celebrity Chef Art Smith is bringing farm-to-fork cuisine to Disney Springs in the summer of 2016 with a new restaurant, Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine. Chef Smith was raised in Jasper, Florida so the restaurant's name is inspired by his heritage.

Tables in Wonderland Price Increases Effective Immediately

Tables in Wonderland, the Disney World discount dining program, has announced a price increase. Members were notified over the weekend of an immediate price increase, effective October 4. The new prices are an increase of $50 over the previous pricing.

The Walt Disney World Resort has opened a brand-new, behind-the-scenes Flavor Lab where Disney's chefs, sommeliers, mixologists, and even front-of-house managers will be trained. The new research and development facility is not open to the general public.

Dinner At Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Victoria Falls Lounge

One of the most surprising meals I had on my last Walt Disney World vacation was dinner at Victoria Falls Lounge at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Victoria Falls is named for a spot on the Zambezi River that is easily one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. Billed as a place to "sample suds from South Africa" the booze flows much more readily than Disney's version of the waterfall. I recently stopped by not only for a drink, but a quick meal at this often overlooked location.
