Spring has sprung at the Walt Disney World Resort and to celebrate there's a brand new slate of special merchandise events planned for April. The events include artist meet-and-greets, new Disney pins, a Trading Night, and special Earth Day events at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
It was a lovely evening out in the fresh air with my favorite people in the world. We were early for our Hoop-Dee-Do reservation and I had heard tell about the Rye Manhattan served around Disney World, so I ordered one up from the Crockett's Tavern walk-up window.
April is Earth Month and April 17 is Earth Day, and Disney's Animal Kingdom is celebrating with sand sculptures, special merchandise events, and more. The theme park kicked off the month with the unveiling of a giant sand sculpture that celebrates the upcoming release of Disneynature's Monkey Kingdom.
I'm not afraid to admit it; I always wanted to be a Jedi. I am a big Star Wars geek and any chance I get to imagine what it would be like to walk the halls of the Millennium Falcon or travel to the ruins of the Jedi Temple, I take it. With luck, today's little tidbit from Star Wars Weekends only brings me closer to my dream.
When the Boathouse opens later this month in Downtown Disney, fans of Port Orleans Riverside's popular entertainer YeHaa Bob Jackson will be able to catch Bob in his new gig playing instrumental jazz standards with a sax player on the water taxi.
As a mother of "grown-up" kids, I am frequently confronted with parents of teenagers asking me how I raised my kids to still love Disney when it's like pulling teeth to get theirs to go. D23 recently announced a slate of special events for members at the Walt Disney World Resort including two events celebrating classic Disney films. The film events will be held for the first time in Central Florida and will include guest speakers and other surprise, just like the events held at The Walt Disney Studios lot.
The Walt Disney World Resort offers a variety of theme parks and adventures for its Guests to enjoy on their vacations. My whole family always enjoys their time at Epcot, which many people consider the most "Grown-up" of the Parks. With a Park this size though, you have got to go in with a plan. I've gathered together some tips and tricks from Disney experts to share how regulars tackle a day at this Disney Theme Park.
If you have plans to visit the Walt Disney World Resort for Easter there are a few special events taking place to help you celebrate. Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny have arrived at the Magic Kingdom and there's also a special Easter egg hunt happening at Epcot.
This past weekend was the soft opening of Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. And if you happened to get in during the soft opening, consider yourself lucky! Word on the street is there was a several-hour wait just to get in to the new Tiki bar.
