Adding to it's fantastic array of itineraries, with two new ships the Disney Cruise Line is visiting more ports than ever. Last week it was announced that in late 2013, for the first time Jamaica will be an exciting Port of Call. Departing from Galveston, Texas this new seven-night Western Caribbean cruise will make port in Falmouth, Jamaica Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico.

Epcot's Food and Wine Festival will soon be over for another year, leaving us longing for ways to capture the wonderful world flavors that we experienced again. Across the Water Bridge from the Seven Seas Lagoon and behind Disney's Contemporary Resort is the beautiful Bay Lake. A natural body of water with two small islands Bay Lake is about one mile across and 35 feet deep. When Walt Disney and his staff were searching for property in Florida to but Walt Disney World, Bay Lake was one of the reasons that they chose the spot they did. Walt believed that it was an attractive feature that would add amenities and value to his guests.

Now that the Halloween Season is past it's time to look forward to what many Disney fans believe is the most magical time of the year, the Winter Holiday. Beginning this weekend, on November 9th, 2012 you can celebrate the magic of the holiday season with your family at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This special after hours event is held on select nights in November and December at Magic Kingdom theme park!

Here are a couple of news tidbits from around Walt Disney World.

First up, those of you who want to take in the first day of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on November 9 but don't have a ticket yet are out of luck. Yes, the November 9 opening date of this year's after-hours holiday bash at the Magic Kingdom is now sold out. Good news: there are still tickets to be had for future dates of the party. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is set to run November 9, 12, 15, 16, 25, 27, 29, and 30; it will also run December 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 21.

For many guests, it's a holiday must-do tradition, and this year, there are a few changes to help enhance the experience. We're talking of Disney Hollywood Studio's Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. Since starting way back in 1995, the show has continued to evolve; today, it boasts more than 5 million lights (all energy-efficient LED) and continues to pull in enhancements such as images and music from Disney's "Prep and Landing."

Pirates of the Caribbean, that famous attraction within Walt Disney World, has seen its share of movie-inspired updates throughout more recent years, and that trend continues with the recent debut of the Mermaids of Whitecap Bay (from "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides").
