Monorail Service Changes Expected Throughout Month of February

If you have plans to visit the Walt Disney World Resort in February or early March we have news regarding changes in the Monorail service schedule. The changes are due to ongoing infrastructure updates on the Monorail system that will likely be continuing throughout this year as Disney works to update the system.

Several Walt Disney World Resort Hotels Named Best for Families by Trip Advisor

The online travel site Trip Advisor has announced its 2015 Traveler's Choice Awards and five Walt Disney World Resort Hotels have been named to the list of the Top 25 Hotels for Families in the United States. The hotels named to the list include a value resort, a moderate resort, and three deluxe resorts.

Four Seasons Resort Orlando Named a Five Diamond Hotel by AAA

AAA recently announced the latest hotels and restaurants to achieve Five Diamond Rating and the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort was on the list. The Four Seasons Resort Orlando is the only Five Diamond rated hotel in the Orlando area.

Demolition of Sorcerer’s Hat is Underway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The iconic Sorcerer's Hat at Disney's Hollywood Studios is now surrounded by construction walls and the process of dismantling the hat has started. The most recent photos of the hat show nearly half of the park's former symbol has been removed but there is still quite a bit of hat left to go.

New ‘Frozen’-themed Expansion Headed to Epcot’s Norway Pavilion

There is no stopping Frozen. The animated juggernaut that is essentially taking over all things Disney is getting a 13,000 square foot building expansion in Epcot's World Showcase between Mexico and Norway. The project is reportedly named the 'Epcot Frozen Meet and Greet.'

Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Host Sneak Peek of Live-Action ‘Cinderella’

If you can't wait until the new live-action Cinderella arrives in theaters in March, you can catch a sneak peek of the film starting January 17 at Disney's Hollywood Studios. And, as an added bonus guests at the park will also have a chance to see the golden coach from the film.

Fredison Costa of Brazil Wins Second Straight Walt Disney World Marathon

The 2015 Walt Disney World Marathon has come to a close and Brazilian runner Fredison Costa was the first to cross the finish line. This is the fourth win for Costa in the last five years. Brazilian runners dominated the finish line with Trindade Mateus coming in second; Joao Fonseca finished third and past Disney Marathon champion Adriano Bastos was fourth . Giovanna Martins of Brazil was the top female winner, finishing the marathon in 2:50:20.

DVC Member Sales Start January 12 for Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Disney Vacation Club Members, listen up! Monday, January 12, is the day you can purchase interest in Disney's Polynesian Villas and Bungalows. The first phase of the new DVC resort is scheduled to open on April 1 and includes the Bora Bora Bungalows and connecting Deluxe Studios. General sales start February 9.
