Journey of the Little Mermaid Scheduled to Close in February for Refurbishment

New Fantasyland has been open for two years and one of the land's popular attractions is set to close for a refurbishment in February.

Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid will reportedly close on February 2 to undergo an extensive refurbishment. The ride is scheduled to reopen on March 6.

According to reports the refurbishments will be similar to those made to the Disneyland version of the attraction earlier this year.

Made With Magic Items to Join Glow With the Show Ears this Fall at Disney Parks

Disney recently announced a new line of merchandise that will interact with nighttime shows just like the Glow With the Show ear hats.

The Made With Magic items include the original Glow With the Show ear hats in addition to a Minnie Mouse-inspired headband, a Mickey Mouse Glove, and a Sorcerer Mickey magic wand.

All the items will light up in sequence with the nighttime shows and fireworks including Fantasmic! and Wishes.

Glow with the Show Ears Return to The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights for 2014 Holiday Season

When the 2014 Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights begins next month at Disney's Hollywood Studios guests can once again join in the festivities with Glow with the Show Ear hats.

These interactive, glowing ear hats debuted at the Walt Disney World Resort last fall during the 15th anniversary of Fantasmic!. Using the latest technology the ear hats glow and complement the imagery and music in the nighttime shows.
